The deadline of abstract submission to the 4^th annual meeting of the Society for Bioacoustics is the coming Friday, Oct 13. We are looking forward to have your submission. There are some corrections in the call for papers and the registration form, so please check and use the final versions, which can be downloaded from below (Please click !).

Detailed information and call for abstract of the 4th Annual Meeting of the Society for Bioacoustics, which is held on December ９－１０ at the University of Electro-Communication in Tokyo, is now uploaded. You can download PDF version of the information  from here, as well as view the overview page in  the items about Annual Meetings in this website< http://bacoust.org/?page_id=1024>. The deadline for submission of presentations was postponed to October 13. We are looking forward to your attending and presenting at the coming meeting!

The 3^rd Annual Meeting of the Society for Bioacoustics had been held at Irago Resort and Spa in a beautiful landscape of Irago cape organized by Prof. Junsei Horikawa, and successfully finished. From the presentations, “Male jewel bugs localize female calling vibrations: directional vibration sensing by chordotonal organs” by Ms. Hiromi Mukai was chosen as the Most Outstanding Presentation Award, and “Finite-element model of human active cochlea: Short-time variation of DP components on the BM” by Ms. Sinyoung Lee was chosen as the Outstanding Presentation Award. The next annual meeting will be held at the University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo organized by Prof. Takuji Koike from 9 to 10 in December 2017.

In addition to above reports, the recipients of award in the 2nd annual meeting held in the last year are also written below.
