The 12th Annual Meeting of the Society for Bioacoustics will be held on 20-21st, October, 2025 at Komatsu Hall, Waseda University Research Innovation Center (Building 121)

Language: All presentations and discussions are in English or Japanese.

Presentation style: Oral presentation on-site. In case time slots are not available, poster presentation may be required. No hybrid.

Reception: October 20 (to join, sign on at the registration page above. Cash payment on-site.)

Awards: Presentation awards are granted to excellent presentations. The award ceremony

will be held on 21^st October, 2025.

4. To join the Society

You have to be a member of the Society for Bioacoustics, to present a paper at the Annual Meeting as the first author or a corresponding author. If you have not yet joined the Society, please contact the Secretariat through the Web page <http://bacoust.org/?page id=23&lang=en> of the Society and apply by 19 September 2025. Note that the discount of the registration fee will be applied for all society members.

The annual membership fee;

Member for an employed person 7,000 yen

Member for a postgraduate student 3,000 yen

Member for an undergraduate student 1,000 yen

5. How to get there and stay in Tokyo

Get off Waseda station (T04) of Tozai subway line. Two minutes’ walk to the conference venue (see Map 1, otherwise search “Research Innovation Center, Waseda University, Building 121” on Google Map). Tully’s Coffee is located on the 1^st floor of the conference site.

To take Tozai line (sky blue color of Map 2), Otemachi station (T09) of Tozai line is close to Tokyo station. Shinjuku is the closest terminal, but you need to change trains at Takadano-baba (JY15) of Yamanote line to Tozai line bound for Waseda, next stop. (see Map 2)

Tokyo/Haneda or Tokyo/Narita airports are the gateway to Tokyo.

Book accommodation by yourself. Many choices are available in Tokyo.
