2nd Meeting of SFB: Poster deadline extended; Hotel reservations

09/22, 2015 in 未分類 by bacoustadmin

Dear colleagues,

Applications for oral presentations were closed on 15 September 2015 as previously noticed.  Thank you very much for many contributions.  We will inform the applicants about the results of screening shortly.

We would like to announce two other important matters to you.

1. Deadline extension of pre-registrations for poster presentations

We have decided to extend the pre-registration deadline for corresponding authors of poster presentations; the new deadline for those authors is 15 October 2015.  Be aware that the date is also the deadline for abstract submissions for poster presentations.

The other deadlines are unchanged as the following.

  • Abstract deadline for poster presentations: 15 October 2015.
  • Pre-registration deadline for all participants, including participants without any presentation: 15 October 2015.
  • Money transfer deadline for the registration fee and the expense for the banquet (only for the attendees living in Japan): 27 November 2015.

2. Hotel reservations

Fukuoka seems to become more and more popular among visitors these days.  It sometimes happens that hotels are fully occupied by the reason God knows.  Therefore, an early reservation of your accommodation is strongly recommended.  Here are some suggestions about hotels.  The nearest hotel to Ohashi Campus is Green Rich Hotel Nishitetsu Ohashi Ekimae (1-7-15 Ohashi, Minami-ku, Fukuoka 815-0033, Japan; Tel. +81 92 552 4400) <http://www.japanican.com/en/hotel/detail/8115A99/?aff=rsv>, which is next to Ohashi Station.  One of the downsides of this hotel is that the hotel staff speaks only Japanese.  The hotels that are close to Yakuin Station or Tenjin Station of Nishitetsu Omuta line, such as Takakura Hotel Fukuoka (2-7-21 Watanabe-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka 810-0004, Japan; Tel. +81 92 731 1661), <http://www.hankyu-hotel.com/cgi-bin2/cms2/index_en.cgi?hid=takakura>, and Nishitetsu Inn Tenjin (4-7-1 Watanabe-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka 810-0004, Japan; Tel. +81 92 713 5454), <http://www.n-inn.jp/english/hotels/tenjin/>, are recommendable for everybody.  They are within 20-30 minutes from Ohashi Campus by train.  There are lots of good hotels in Hakata area where is around JR Hakata station; however, the way you have to take to Ohashi Campus becomes more complicated than the other options.

For more detailed information, please refer to the PDF pamphlet of the Announcement and Call for Abstracts, which you could find at <http://bacoust.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/2nd_SFB_Call_abst_e.pdf>.

I am looking forward to seeing you in Fukuoka!

Regards,

Kazuo Ueda
